2.       Villa Leopolda – Cote D Azur, France

Villa Leopolda in the French Riviera comes in a close second in the list of the most expensive homes in the world, with a price tag of around $750 Million. It also has 27 stories, and was originally built by Belgian King Leopold II in 1902, although it was later purchased by Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokorhov.

3.       The One Hyde Park Penthouse – Hyde Park, London, UK

While this is technically a list of expensive houses, no list such as this can be complete without mentioning The Penthouse. The most expensive apartment in the world, The Penthouse cost $200 Million, placing it third on the list.

This complex features a 66,000 square foot main home, plus other buildings that take the living space up over 100,000 square feet. It is valued at just under $200 Million, and features a hotel worthy 29 bedrooms and 39 bathrooms, and is the most expensive property in the US.

This home was built by William Randolph Hearst, and with a value of $165 Million, it is the most expensive house in the US (the value for Fairfield Pond includes the massive property and outbuildings).

This ten bedroom home in the heart of London is valued at over $160 Million, and features an underground swimming pool in the basement among numerous other lavish amenities.

7.       The Pinnacle – Yellowstone Club, Montana, US

This home is located in a private community in Montana known as the Yellowstone Club, which is home to only billionaires, no mere millionaires allowed. This home is small compared to some of the others, but is still worth $155 Million, and features a private chair lift going directly to a skiing resort owned by the homes owner, billionaire Tim Blixseth.

This house used to belong to television producer Aaron Spelling, and set a record for most expensive home when it was sold for $85 Million, however it is actually valued at around $150 Million. It features parking for over 100 cars, a bowling alley, and a citrus orchard.

9.       Updown Court – Windlesham, Surrey, UK

The third UK home to make the list, Updown Court is a sprawling 58 acre estate that features a heated driveway made entirely from marble, with space enough to park eight full length limousines. This home has more than 100 rooms, and the estate features stables, a private cinema, and much more.

Another in the list of incredibly expensive Beverly Hills homes, Fleur De Lys is worth an estimated $125 Million.
